then again, i think 2 column was decided by the inward/outward segregation, so maybe there’ s some awesome functionality in tiga.

Isn’t that funny? I thought that theme was kinda sploggy. Next time, when ALA calls a layout “holy grail,” maybe we’ll pay attention.

Hi all,
Just thought I should say one thing before people start thinking that I “rip the Holy Grail layout from ALA, as suggested by Lorelle”.
FYI the tiga theme was first released on the 10th December 2005 whereas the ALA article was posted on the 30th January 2006 and Lorelle’s article was posted on February 24th 2006.
There were many changes that happened between that initial release which is version 0.1 and version 1.0.1 which is the latest release, but I assure you that most of the changes are bug fixes and slight cosmetic (color and bitmap) changes and the basic 3 column structure remains the same.
There are a few ways to verify my claim:-
At the time of writing there’s 600+ sites (http://www.technorati.com/search/www.shamsulazhar.com%2Fwp%2F) using the tiga theme and some are still using that early version.
I keep my changes using CVS so I can produce the old revisions.
Shadow should have a few copies of my old versions because I mailed it to him in those early days to be included on his theme viewer site.
I know you did not mean to accuse me of ripping off from the ALA article but I’m posting this just in case people misread your posting.
